CEMETERIES: Although most cemeteries are quiet places for ghost-hunting, you sometimes might have an excellent chance for strange phenomena and spirit photos. There are some theories to explain this fact of cemetery-haunts. "Spirital portals" and "doorways" are two of them. Cemeteries with unmarked graves, where desecration has taken place or where tragic events have occurred often become haunted. A search through historical records can often point a researcher to a haunted graveyard.

CHURCHES, CHAPELS, ...: Like in the case of the theaters, these holy buildings are a place of human emotions, joy and grief. There is always a possibility that a chapel or church is build on "evil soil", unholy ground, eg. a gallows-lee. The building of the church or chappel would bless the ground and chase away the "evil spirits" or like some people call them "demons".

CRIME SCENES, WAR ZONES, BATTLEFIELDS, ...: These locations are dealing with a sudden loss of life and this can sometimes cause a spirit to linger behind in confusion. The tragedy and the trauma involved can also lead towards a residual haunting as the terrible events replay themselves over and over again. It's especially the insolent nature of the event that may cause a spirit to wander.

HOMES, HOUSES: Older, but also newer residences can have a stirring past with violent backgrounds including murder, suicide or tragic events. It are just these kind of event that cause a place to become haunted. THis haunting effect can have two possible explanations:

1. the spirit is not willing to leave the place because of the events

2. the spirit is drawn to the place because of the events

HOSPITALS, NURSING HOMES, ...: These locations that have seen life, and death, over the years are great places to find ghosts.

MOTELS, HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, ...: These kind of places have many visitors during their life. It isn't amazing that these are also places with a lot of energy and emotion. Tragic events do happen there: suicide, murder, accidents, adultery, ...

ROADWAYS, FORESTS, MINES, CAVES, RAILWAY STATIONS, SHIPS, ...: Are just another source and place where there was life and death. Sometimes insolent, sometimes by accident, but fact is, a spirit who does not find rest, keeps on wandering.

SCHOOLS: Tragic events that attract ghosts is also common in these buildings. These are places with a lot of energy and emotion. Tragic events do happen in schools: teasing, suicide, murder, accidents, not being marked, cast away, ...

THEATERS: Due to the fact that theaters are filled with human emotions and a lot of people who used to work there before they died, nourished a great love for their theater, seems to attract more come backs after their deaths.
